Tasting your Champagne

Storing your Champagne

When the Champagne is delivered after a long ageing time in the cellars, it is ready for tasting.

To preserve your Champagne ideally, it must be stored lying down in the dark in a cool place. In good conditions champagne may age for several years… and its taste will develop at the same time.

Champagne absolutely must be served cold (the ideal temperature for serving is 5 to 8°). To reach this temperature, place the bottles in a refrigerator for a few hours, or to cool it quickly, place it into an ice-bucket for fifteen minutes.

To appreciate Champagne it is necessary to serve it in a fine and elegant Champagne-tasting glass.
